June is almost over and I’m just beginning to put my shoes on, and today, with great relief to me, there was briskness in the air. I biked around in long sleeves. The information is all around like spores. I harvest as if through a mesh seive, remembering some, losing most, as it rains down around my shaddow in uniform particles, a dusting, allergens, reactions, footprints visible, that is memory. Foggy. Shower, now.

im back in reno which means i want to cook big meals and bake cakes for everybody. cakes are made up of ingredients that provide structure (flour, protein), tenderizers (sugar, fat), leavening (baking soda), acid (vinegar, cream o tartar). a delicious cake is a dance of everything together. I realize i look for these formulas to mirror in my own life. maybe if i understand the formula (of baking) i will know how to make my life into a delicious cake as well. structure (home, day/night, appointment) tenderizers (friends, food, play) leavening (reading, writing, talking, sleeping) acid (loud music, bike rides, river dips on hot days, crushes, good movies..) my summer cake will be delicious
